Our customer is a large European insurance trust.

Project Overview

The project has been implemented since October 2004 to provide maintenance and support for the end users of the set of insurance-specific applications (vehicle, property, life insurance, etc.)

IBA CZ cooperates on the project with IBA Minsk. This way, an optimal team structure is achieved through geographical availability, communication abilities, and expert knowledge and experience. Particularly, a price viewpoint is also important for our customer. Our solution combines cheaper IT specialists with a team of Czech experts. As a result, we can offer outsourcing services at a very favorable cost and at the same time maintain a high level of service quality.

A group of IT experts from IBA CZ is close to the customer, communicates actively with the customer team, consults directly at the client facilities, investigates new tasks, gathers new software requirements, and develops a user interface for the application.

On the other hand, IBA Minsk has many mainframe specialists at its disposal. The specialists participate in the maintenance and development of back-office applications. They receive change requirements from IBA CZ or directly from the customer. They use their knowledge and long-term experience in the mainframe area for the project. The entire communication and documentation is realized in the customer's language, namely German.

Project Execution

IBA is fulfilling many roles for the Customer, especially team leaders, data architects, analysts, designers, developers and quality managers. Teams established for particular application groups cooperate very closely together and also with the customer. Within teams, conference calls are organized and eventually with client representatives. In case of need, IBA CZ employees communicate with the customer on site.

IBA executes the following tasks:

  • analysis of problems detected by end users and correction of potential errors
  • in cooperation with the customer, analysis of client's new requirements and solution proposals for applications
  • coding and documentation
  • testing
  • in cooperation with the customer, planning of new versions and improvement of the current code through optimization

 

Project Evaluation

The IBA team has acquired the neccesary skills and continually shows its professional excellence when rendering support for the 25 customer applications. End users express their complete satisfaction with the application support.

The customer gained highly professional services at very competitive rates that resulted from combined teams of Czech and Belorussian specialists.
